Janelle E. Black, age 57, a resident of Naperville, IL, and formerly of Glen Ellyn, IL, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at home. She was born January 23, 1958 in Wichita, KS.

Janelle was a most beloved sister and aunt and enriched the lives of her nieces and nephews and also the lives of many "adopted" nieces and nephews. She had a deep faith and trusted her Savior, Jesus Christ, throughout her life. She worked for the phone company and was respected in a field that had more men than women in it. After retirement she enjoyed joining a quilting guild and creating beautiful quilts. She also donated blood as often as she could. She had many dear friends and often enjoyed traveling with them.

She is survived by her siblings, Mary Ann (Carl) Herbst of Roseville, MN, Paula Swanson of Clearwater, KS, Billie Jean (Ken) Ellingsen of Wildwood, MO and Gerald "Jerry" Black of Winfield, IL; six nieces and nephews, Amy (Pat) Schmidt, Janeen (Jon) Klinkenborg, Benjamin Lau, Jared Ellingsen, Janie Ellingsen and Sophia Black; two great-nieces, Jessica and Emily Schmidt; and two great-nephews, Frankie Klinkenborg and Zak Schmidt.
